Download Tab
This data download is specifically for downloading the results of a query. To download the results of the query, first select whether you want to download in Summary format (will show you the descriptive statistics) or in Raw data format. Then select the desired file format from those shown in the drop down.
- Clicking Include Value labels will provide you with both the raw data, and the associated scale labels. For example, a gender question might be coded as 1=male, 2=female. If you do NOT click Include Value Labels, the data that will appear for a participant will be only the value, e.g. 1. If you click Include Value labels, you will see the value 1 and its corresponding label male, and it will look like 1:Male
- Clicking List Text Items is relevant for the Summary Data format. If this is checked, the open text responses provided by the respondents will be listed out in the downloaded file
Data Download Tab
The Data Download tab is a full “data dump” of all of the collected data in a survey (as opposed to Download described above, which was specifically for downloading the results of a defined query).
- Select whether you want to download in Summary format (will show you the descriptive statistics) or in Raw data format.
- Select the desired file format from those shown in the drop down. The download will have the data dictionary fully loaded – all of the values and value labels will be included in the export.
